After supercross I was invited back to Mexico to defend my title. That year I made every main event finished 15th in the west coast lites region and earned national number 78. Landing a ride with Strikt/Slaton racing Yamaha and the help of Marty Smith boosted me to the best season of my professional career to date. Winning the SX 1 class in the Mexico Supercross championship. Determined to reach the top, I put everything I was learning to use and had a very successful summer and fall of 2013. Two weeks before the season opener I crashed, injuring my wrist and was released from the team. This year in the 450 class aboard a privateer Honda to earn a ride in 2013 with 5150 energy drink Honda. Progression came again in 2012 with main events and top 20 finishes earning national number 99. As my results increased so did the support I was receiving. That year in SX I, qualified for every night program that year and one main event. Spending most of 2010 injured, I worked hard to prepare for 2011. At my first supercross race, I found myself 72nd position and 16 seconds off of the qualifying field. I was unprepared and overwhelmed and it was very apparent in my results. My rookie season as a professional was in 2009. The idea of racing in front of a crowd, as one of the best racers on the planet, inspired me to stay disciplined, stay on track and to achieve my dream. Although I had never raced at events such as Loretta Lynn’s, when I turned 16, I made the desperate decision to turn pro. Growing up, I never had any outstanding achievements, racing was an activity the family could do together. On my third birthday my uncle gave me a PW50, it was the present of a lifetime.Īs I grew so did my bikes, I raced my way through the ranks locally in Northern CA.
